A Capitalist with a heart

I dream of a Capitalist with a “Heart.” I know what that would look like. As an anarchist this is a stretch at an effort to reconcile that I live in a capitalist country.   

This capitalist with a heart recognizes their leadership and uses that role to benefit everyone in the community. They role model caring and generosity. Not expecting respect but knowing they have to earn that respect.

This capitalist acknowledges that the people working for them have been central to getting their wealth and show their gratitude. In their philosophy of caring they would make sure that the workers have a good quality of life and not just while their working for them but for their life time.

This Capitalist with heart listens to their workers. Their decisions would not be based on money alone, it would take into account the well-being of the workers. They would collaborate with their workers to make a community everyone is proud of.

This capitalist would want to separate out government and business because they understand that democracy and capitalism in ideology are at odds.

And above all this capitalist would respect others, be honest and transparent in all they do.

This capitalist with a heart’s primary goal is to make the world a better place for all.

I know this and many of my dreams on in this era of pandemic are unrealistic but somedays it’s the only way I get through the day.
